I’m eating dinner, and almost choked with laughter when I read of IS calling Erdogan “an integral part of the Jewish-Crusader system”. I wonder what the AKP’s membership and the MHP’s Grey Wolves would have to say about that.
FYI, re the quotation of Qur’an 8:42 — Sura 8 is chronologically the second of the Medina group. which Mahmoud Mohammed Taha labeled as strictly political, solely relating to the Medina decade, having nothing to do with Islamic Scripture or theology. If Sudan’s ‘establishment’ hadn’t murdered Taha, Ayman al-Zawahiri or (gut-level anti-Zawahiri) Islamic State most certainly would.
When elements of Religion are rigorously jammed into Politics, the first thing harmed is the religion.
