IMHO … The Donald’s emotions regarding “forever wars” trace back to his evasion of the Vietnam draft. How did he aggressively play athletics all through school with a bone spur on one heel? What does he compulsively, reflexively do when someone accuses him of lying? What has his older sister (the retired Connecticut Federal judge) called him?

His draft number (356) did come up on December 1, 1969 — 14 months after handing the podiatrist’s letter to the draft board.

There are multiple sources for details about his calling members of the military and veterans “suckers”, “losers” and “fools”. Those sources go back into the Eighties.

(By the way — Barack Obama hated the military too, going back well before his link-up with Bill Ayers, and young athlete Joseph Biden skipped out on the Vietnam draft by suddenly developing asthma If you wonder what America’s military is like today, do some research on the Oval Office leadership.)
