Al-Shara just might wind up having a greater ‘positive effect’ on world history than The Donald. (Notice that I say ‘positive’.)
The Donald is as he has been, as he has reflexively made himself into over the decades. By your column, Al-Shara has deliberately made himself into something quite different.
Let us watch al-Shara — and deliberately, cautiously and prayerfully hope.
And don’t trust The Donald’s opinions on al-Shara. He’s well-known for being clueless about al Qaida’s raison d’être – having said that all he’d have to do would be to “cut a deal with ’em”.
